What trees line the sidewalks of Orchard Road?
The road is named for the fruit orchards, pepper farms and nutmeg plantations that dominated the landscape in the 1830s. Today, historic angsana trees line the streets. The trees are known for their blossoming, fragrant yellow flowers, which only bloom for a day before raining down and blanketing the road.
What is Orchard Road best known for today?
Today, the one-way street offers over 5,000 retail, dining and entertainment destinations for visitors and locals to enjoy.
